Kenyatta University teams presented teams in the 2021 edition of KUSA play offs held at the Jomo Kenyatta University of science and technology between 13th -15th of August. The event brings together top two teams from each conference after a series of competitions in the 6 conferences across the country. In the Nairobi conference where KU participates, KU men and women teams qualified to represent the conference in football, handball, basketball, hockey, netball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, roll ball and wood ball.
Out of the 21 teams KU presented, she won 9 Gold medals in Hockey men & women, basketball men, volleyball women, handball men, netball men & women, table tennis women and wood ball women; 7 silver medals in football men and women, handball women, volleyball men, tennis women, wood ball men and roll ball women; 3 bronze medals in Tennis men, table tennis men, badminton men. The performance cements KU’s position at the summit of University Sports.
Meanwhile the KU staff sports teams are making headlines, more so the staff football team which received a boost of training equipment and uniforms from management. The team has so far played friendly matches with various corporate organization teams among them, KCA, Tusker Wazee ( EABL) Nairobi club among others
